Three nice things
Wednesday, January 30th, 2008 01:59 pm1. I seem to have lost my joy-in-music. Has anyone seen it? (Possibly connected to viral lurgy and inner-ear issues.) Listened to the Cocteau Twins whilst driving to Tesco, and most pleasant it was: but there's nothing I long to listen to, and I've just realised that I haven't played a CD or switched on the radio (except in Alarm function) since I got back from holiday.
2. I have two resolutions for February, one personal and one global.
2a. Write a flashfic (short story, no editing, sit down and write start to end) every day in February. (I have a list of 29 Notions.)
2b. Buy nothing. I'd add 'superfluous', but I still intend to indulge myself in food and drink and cultural events. What I will not be spending money on is books, music, clothes, shoes, toiletries, cosmetics, or tat. (If I have a sudden urgent need for an item of clothing, Redhill has many charity shops.)
3. Fizz for breakfast! But Marmite with Champagne is not actually very nice. (I bought it for myself. The cats don't have any money.)
