Forgetting to be positive
Thursday, February 23rd, 2006 11:52 amI seem to've forgotten to post my daily positive things this week: but then, (?and so) it hasn't been an especially good week. I do feel that casting around for the good stuff, rather than dwelling on the bad, is a constructive habit for me to acquire.
Let's see if I can manage three good things so far this week ...
1. Finished printing The Novel on werk printer. It's heavy. Now to holepunch and file it. And eventually, of course, edit.
2. Have slept like a log every night, though never for long enough.
3. I've had to give up mid-week concert-going now that I'm working full-time in the back of beyond. For the first time in years I don't have a stack of tickets for forthcoming events. But, having listened again and again to last week's Radio 3 broadcast of a concert of Golijev's work, I decided to treat myself to tomorrow night's concert at the Barbican. It doesn't start til 8pm so I should get there in time, and I managed to get a good seat via the Barbican's online booking form (£30, but I'm worth it <g>). Reading this review, I'm really looking forward to it.
EDIT: Another, more informational review.
