HOw I love Radio 3! Giving details of this afternoon's broadcasts (when I, sadly, will be exposed to Heart FM instead), the announcer begun, "More gods behaving badly at 1pm, with Rameau ..."

I've not been online much this week: blood-pressure pills are knocking me out, and not in a good way. Also -- having fallen off a kerb and damaged my weak ankle on Saturday, after (but not at all influenced by, heh) several bottles of fizz in the park -- I find myself unfit for active service at B-Movie tonight. (I have fallen over on a number of occasions since Saturday, too, as stupid pills give me micro-bursts of dizziness. But it is less amusing without witnesses, and has usually been relatively painless).

They're showing Master & Commander: The Far Side of the World in Greenwich Park tonight. May wander up there if the weather is suitable. Anyone else interested?
Yesterday, the delightful [livejournal.com profile] ladymoonray took me to Lancing Beach, and we cavorted in the surf. Waves usually energise me though suspect I am beyond energising at present: it did ease some of the aches though. Then we had fish'n'chips for tea, and sat and wrote on the beach.
Good things about rainy Friday:
- the river Ravensbourne (outside my window) is rushing and gushing like a simile.
- I don't have high blood pressure any more.

Now I have low blood pressure. 117/78 (down from 214/140 three weeks ago).

Apparently this makes no sense. But the rapid descent of BP may explain why I've felt like a reanimated corpse for the last couple of weeks. Have put it to doctor that I would like to stop taking beta-blockers: a short life and a merry one, etc. He seemed to agree.

More tests next week, just 'cause.

Still corpse-like, so off for a nap pre-anything else.
