I am having a difference of opinion with Avnet, my otherwise-wondrous ISP.

They claim that they have moved my web space from server to server but it is still OK: "I can see it fine" are their exact words.

I contend that they have lost it. (And I have some whiny emails to back me up.)

Web stuff

Thanks to everyone who helped me uncover the problem!

Avnet now tell me that I should be using completely different URLs. Never mind that the ones I was using have worked ever since I started using them (some time in the mid-90s) or that this is the first I've heard of any change.

Luckily I have nothing better to do this evening than spend it fixing links, emailing WebDNS re the redirection, changing the counter, emailing all the people who complained and saying a resounding "f*ck it" to the images that still won't load.

In Avnet's defence, I do have a lifetime free account, which may mean I am not on any mailing lists because they don't get to demand money from me.
