It is unnatural to have done all of one's housework before 7 a.m.
Cannot now be bothered to look for hackneyed hacker humour about 'One OS to rule 'em all': but this, below, makes me very happy. And feeds my inner geek.

"Parts two and three of the Lord of the Rings film trilogy [use]software that runs on a free operating system... Weta Digital, the New Zealand-based company contracted to handle the trilogy's animation, rendering and compositing requirements, is gradually moving away from using Silicon Graphics's operating system, Irix, in favour of open-source operating system Linux ... Although Maya and Shake [modelling and compositing applications] are also available on NT, Mr Labrie said Microsoft's system did not scale very well. Linux was better because it was easier to administer and more robust, he said."
