Where can I find examples of 17th-century jokes? (Will settle for 16th, 18th ... I know I found a page of nautical jokes once. Heaven knows where. Google doesn't.)
Love, me.
Edit: Ok. Have found some. Amend request to 'funny 17th century jokes'. (To be fair, these are somewhat earlier.)

Date: Tuesday, May 31st, 2005 10:50 pm (UTC)I know an Elizabethan joke that's faintly amusing, in a crassly biological way. I have a bunch of them in a book somewhere, but the book is in a box in Canada. Or maybe I gave it away, I can't remember.
