AH! I was going to post something about Metallic Love, but decided I needed to read it again after having read The Silver Metal Lover again first, so I could write a proper review and how it compares.

I enjoyed reading it, but found it not quite as good and slightly unnecessary. That book does not need a sequel, really.

The original book certainly doesn't need a sequel, but I can see why Lee felt she wanted to write one: there's all sorts of different questions being explored in Metallic Love. And yes; not as good as the first. But not at all bad.
