You know how, from time to time, a screw or nail will appear, apparently from nowhere?
And you look at it, frown, and put it somewhere safe?
And then, after an interval long enough that 'somewhere safe' is utterly beyond your ken, something will slowly and unfixably fall apart?

The screw I found last week was the last-but-one screw holding my desk chair together.

Does anyone have a desk chair (adjustable height, preferably swivel-style) available for delivery to SE8?

Morten's got a chair - am not sure the local Post Office will let me mail it to you though.

I'd have to move him first as well.

Um. Buy more screws? Cheaper & more portable.

And I know you have a tame Man to come

probably not much cheaper than a new chair -- this is the one I bought from Viking 6 years ago for £19, and they've only gone up 86p in price since then. Given various other defects (one of the wheels is broken, etc) I think I might splash out and replace it with the same again. 6 years of daily use isn't bad!
