It's definitely getting expanded and comprehensively revised -- it's nowhere near publishable yet -- but once that's done (hopefully early next year) I may try to sell it somewhere. Meanwhile, if you have any ideas about where to sell an article about writing it, RSVP!

I'm on track for hitting 50k by the end of the month but I don't think my story will be nearly finished by then. I reckon 30-50% still to go. I hope I can keep the momentum going and get it down. I've also got bits I know I need to fix where I've changed circumstances later and carried on writing under the new situation without going back and correcting the wrong details.

I'm going to have to fix a great deal of it -- not least the fact that I had no feel at all for the characters when I started writing! But what the hell: first draft. Am looking forward to putting in description, too; there's little of that, because of the breakneck pace of writing ...
