Back hurts: flat needs hoovering: am utterly exhausted. But ... but! I really had to force the last 50 words or so, but it seemed daft to stop just before the milestone ...

Jealous Jealous Jealous of your beautiful word count!!!

As beautifully as you write, I can't imagine you, "forcing" anything.

You are way ahead of the nanowrimo game!! WOOT!

I've definitely forced bits of this, because there isn't really time to dither ... can imagine grinding to a halt and never starting again, and I have set myself a challenge!

So are you going to push on at this rate and write 100000 words in a month if the book demands it? Then you could get 2 NaNo cirtificates!

given that this is a first draft, without all the description, obfuscation etc that will appear if / when I polish it, the notion of 100K is a bit scary! Not sure how much plot is left, but probably more than 10 chapters' worth ... (my chapters being scenes, really, averaging 1000 words)

*falls over again*

I'm with you on the milestones. I keep thinking I've finished for the day, and put the wordcount into my spreadsheet, but then I think "Oh just a few more and I'll get to X000." So I do. It's not a bad habit, I suppose, but I end up stopping in some very odd places!

don't fall over! not unless there is a cat in the way to cushion your fall, anyway.

Those last few words last night were tricky .. and this morning I thought I was stuck ... and then, then ... (see latest LJ entry for details!)
