incredibly loud clap of thunder and simultaneous flash of lightning just now. Car alarms going off in the carpark outside, sky weirdly pink, am not going out in that -- do they not know I have a headache?

EDIT: Apparently that was a lightning strike on the signals just outside Victoria Station, throwing the whole of Southern Region rail into disarray. (Can you tell the difference, children?)

yes -- I was clearly only partly right when I said that alcohol was the work of the Devil. I blame latexiron for everything. Including this bloody Word document.

I don't think that got me - but there was then an alert at Victoria tube while I was heading back from college, resulting in a Waterloo-Clapham Junction-East Croydon route home ...
