Bounce!

Am having a day of post-B Movie bounce -- something I thought entirely incompatible with Job / Health, for I haven't really had the energy to enjoy a B-Movie for months now (and when energy was OK, knees weren't).

But last night was Utterly Fab. Danced a lot (some of it to Metal, according to my neck muscles: some of it to fab cover versions, old favourites, quite a lot of PWEI ...) Dragged along old friend Mark WINOLJ and he pronounced it 'storming', and will come again. Yay, another convert!

Despite lots of beer, dancing etc, and a very late night (can't remember the last time we stayed later than 12:30, but it was gone 1:30 by the time we left) I feel fine today: woke up at 7am, bounced wrote for an hour (in semi-legible scrawl), slept until 11:30, bath, laundry, washing-up, more writing ...

Heading off for Wine soon, in final instalment of Birthday Celebrations. Suspect I am getting too old to have birthdays, given the five-day-festival nature of this one. But stuff it: you're only as old as you feel, and if I average out knee-age and mental age the answer is quite favourable.

EDIT: cannot fail to mention (now that [livejournal.com profile] ladymoonray has reminded me) How We Brought Depravity to King's Cross: y'see, [livejournal.com profile] ladymoonray's new Goth boots -- fab Italian suede -- have tricksy little silver buckles at the back, and the easiest way to get them fastened is to have someone else down on her knees on the pavement, fiddling with them short-sightedly.

Naturally, this was timed to coincide with the passage of a cheerful group of middle-aged ladies, who found the whole thing very amusing ...

New Sins For Old! Today boot-buckling, tomorrow ____________*

* Actually, tomorrow probably sleeeep at this rate

I'm going to sound like the clueless old sod I am, but what is this B-movie of which you speak? My brother used to be into a band of that name a couple of thousand years ago, but that was when he was a fourteen-year-old New Romantic. Any connection?
