I have to admit that this is one meme that I've been deliberately avoiding.
I never really saw the point in ego-surfing (and it's something I have to do regularly to make sure that no one is ripping off articles I've written with out paying..).
Actually, it's probably down to having a common first name and (reasonably) rare surname...
I do it occasionally, just to see where my stuff is appearing. I'm the only person by my name on the web so it's more an exercise in finding out where I'm being quoted (or misquoted) this year than learning new and startling things about my alter-egos. My previous incarnations appear to be having a fine time, living the kind of lives I dreamed of having but never managed. I'm an artist, a musician and an assortment of other fine things I'd have enjoyed. Curiously, there seem to be no writers and reviewers so I've at least got that piece of the gestalt market cornered.
