The Unfairness of Life, Chapter 117

My shower stopped working last week. As did I. Apparently one of us infected the other, for the problem is exactly the same: high pressure leading to sudden cessation of normal function.
Solution for shower: a new Pressure Relief Device, costing £8.10, to be installed by the very wonderful
nolley on Saturday.
Solution for me: little pink pills that plunge me into a slough (or possibly Slough) of despond within an hour of taking them. (Not helped, this morning, by a trackside fire at Nunhead which meant no Victoria trains. Solution simple: change at London Bridge for Battersea Park. Nevertheless, was Tearful and Pathetic. Has anyone else had nasty moodswings as a result of beta-blockers? Am on them for at least the next two weeks: will be no fun at all.)
