tamaranthlast year I was part of Blackheath Halls Opera chorus, singing in La Belle Helene There was one tricky scene with a small group of us all dressed in pink.
today I found out that my partner in that scene, the woman who at each performance zipped up my pink dress in our 2-minute costume change, has died of coronavirus.
(We weren't really friends, just acquaintances. But she's the first victim that I know of who was personally known to me, and it's shaken me more than expected.)
