Between the Tamiflu, the enforced bed rest and irreguar doses of purry kitty, I am feeling rather better than I have been. I even went downstairs! (Have to eat before Tamiflu.) OK, going downstairs knocked me out, but still: it's the furthest I've been since Friday, and the first time I've left the room since Saturday.

I have absolutely no intention of leaving the house today, or going to werk for a couple of days at least ... I would quite like to be able to sit up for more than 20 mins without getting a headache / dizzy spell / fatigue. But it's a start.

what's the official quarantine period?

I think quarantine is about a week after symptoms go away. You should probably check with NHS direct or whoever.

The GP said to send spider back to school once he was 'symptom free'. In practice, and ruling that coughing a couple of times a day is not a symptom, this meant he was back after 9 days. Mind you, two of his friends were off sick the following week...
