A little beach haiku I twittered earlier:
In fact the forecast thunder&rain didn't arrive in Cambridge til I got back: but instead of another day of oppressive heat, I spent the afternoon cooled by a sea breeze (and triple immersion in said sea), scorched by sun blazing from a clear sky, and generally better for getting away from communication / chores / mundanities and back to basics (picnic lunch with GIN, new Katherine Neville novel, swimming against the tide, watching clouds).
Thirty-one degrees
high tide, sunshine, G&T
home forecast: thunder.
