Pilates with Free Books!
Thursday, November 27th, 2008 10:10 pmYesterday after Pilates class*, I spent a happy few minutes rooting through a chaotic pile of discarded books -- usually for sale at 50p / £1 (proceeds to church funds), but free to good homes as the venue was running out of space. I picked up a couple of books that looked interesting, and a couple that looked ... hard to find. (There was also a lot of Jeffrey Archer. And a couple of brand new hardcover Clive Barkers.)
I am about to list one of the hard-to-finds on Amazon, at £5 or £10 under the £35 going price: I'm going to donate the (hypothetical and eventual) profit to the church.
I feel astonishingly virtuous.
*which is much less like a keep-fit class, and much more like a yoga class, than the one I used to go to in Redhill. Yay!
