and then the content went into a comment to [livejournal.com profile] nhw

"The Olympic Torch was on a par with the Ballroom Horse.

I don't especially like David Tennant, esp. as the Doctor.

I think they filmed some of that episode (the bits with DLR trains in the background) in the carpark of Tesco's, Lewisham. You can see my ex-house from there ...

on the whole, I enjoyed that episode a lot more than several recent ones (though it was remarkably Sapphire and Steelish): but ooooh teasers teasers teasers for next week!"
.. was what I said.

Also: "I was a father once" ??????!!!! WTF is this canon then, is it?

Aside to LJ: your spiffy new beta navigation thing keeps popping up for NO REASON. Stoppit!

I thought it was merry merry king of the bush is he. What did you hear it as?

Mind you, I didn't think Council employees gave a damn about their tarmaccing skills, either, so what do I know?

In the episode, they enunciated it clearly as bush is he. In the Guides, I learnt it from a much slurrier rendition of bushizeeee, which I interpreted as Kookaburra, he is king of the green shrubbery! Not Kookaburra, he is king of the Australian outback! (which makes much more sense, now I think about it).

But they will do in the brave new world of 2012, after a new generation have grown up indoctrinated with customer service attitudes, and as their hearts swell with pride that their great capital city is hosting the Olympic Games!

Maybe.

Your flat will certainly be worth a lot rented out to people attending the Olympics!
