1. Managed to get kitchen light working again (just needed new 'starter': I know nothing of these things, have never owned a flourescent light before) without succumbing to dizziness whilst at top of ladder.

2. A walk in the copse at lunchtime: blue sky, birdsong, sunlight reflecting off rippling water onto tree-bark.

3. The end is nigh: one more chapter (each) to write. And lovely IM session with co-author. *blows kiss*

Yay for all of that - especially the new starter. We got an electrician in to fix ours, after about a year with no kitchen light...

Another end is nigh? God, you two are prolific. I drew a fish today...

This is the NaNoWriMo joint effort: so no, not that prolific, given that we started in November. I shall miss it when it's done, though, because revision is unlikely to give me half as much fulfilment as writing.

Yes, we had a fluorescent light for about 7 years before needing to discover what a 'starter' was.

not only did I not know what one was, I've never seen one being changed, and I'm not tall enough to see the socket! So it was very much trial and error ...
