Hah!

Be very careful with the insides of that thing. I killed one by cracking the motherboard. The 560X is a real bastard compared to e.g. any Compaq laptop of the past several years.

301 is keyboard missing. (That's assuming it's one of the traditional IBM diagnostic error codes (http://bioscentral.com/misc/ibmdiag.htm).

It's listed in the service manual. 301 is "keyboard missing", IIRC. Means something isn't plugged in quite right somewhere. Or the keyboard chip's fried. (Yay!)
