Updating while I wait ...
Thursday, July 7th, 2005 04:05 pmThis morning's journey was dreadful. Those who know me will have encountered my views on crowds: I was stuck on a very crowded platform at Victoria for 20 minutes, waiting for one train to leave so that an emptier one could come in.
I'm glad I didn't squeeze onto that train.
Then various changes of plan (at this point they were saying 'power surge', or I'd have turned around and got the next train home) culminating in a drizzly walk from Green Park to Kensington High Street, and then -- iPod battery having conked out, thus decreasing my walking speed quite markedly -- an extremely crowded bus.
But! in brighter news, a nice man in Content Provision is charging my iPod for me. The walk back to central London (I should be able to get a train home from Charing Cross -- most of them are running, outbound only) holds no terrors.
