the week that was
Sunday, April 20th, 2008 05:54 pm1. No wonder I'm feeling drained: I've been out at something cultural 4 nights out of the last 7. (And in Plymouth for 2 days before that ... and at another concert the night before I went to Plymouth.)
2. I started feeling cold-type symptoms early in the week, but thought I'd got away with just sore throat / tiredness. By Friday I'd been ambushed by the rest of it: sneezes / sniffles / headache / weakness etc. Hence, Friday and Saturday in bed (apart from Saturday evening, when I did more culture.)
3. Got back from culture (Anna Bolena, Donizetti, English Touring Opera in Crawley: fab) to find that Sam's sudden urge to vomit had not gone away. ( TMI ) Emergency cat-barbering at 1am: hopefully problem solved but ewwww.
4. For no reason at all, my body decided to wake up at 5:45 this morning. (Not cat-intervention for a change.) Couldn't get back to sleep. Read all morning, felt fine, got up and started doing things. Bad move. Limbs jellified, strong temptation to sleep -- but it'll screw up my sleep patterns, so I'm trying to stay awake til 10 or so.
5. Quiet week ahead. At least as far as I recall.
