I tried reinstalling XP. It didn't. Today's internet connection brought to you via R's ancient and nasty PC, AOL 7.0 and dial-up. And IE5.

I would care more if I were going to be relying on my desktop machine beyond lunchtime on Saturday. And as it is, all* vital stuff has been copied to external drive.
