Positive Things for Wednesday
Wednesday, February 15th, 2006 09:11 pm1. The opposite of last night's train experience: a train that shouldn't connect with another, but does. (There's a 4-minute gap between Good Train and Bad Train. Good Train connects with fast service, and gets me to werk around 9:10. Bad Train usually connects with slow service 15 mins later, and gets me to werk around 9:35. But today, when I missed the train because of #2, the connecting service was 5 minutes late ...)
2. Co-author and I have finished the 177K first draft of our historical novel, so there. The final chapter was in my inbox this morning. Bounce.
3. I work for a really nice company.
"[boss], we finished our novel this morning: you know, the one I keep going on about. Any chance I could print it out? It's around 450 pages. I'll pay costs, of course."
"No problem, and don't worry about the money. It'd take too long to bill you."
4. One Hundred and Seventy-Seven Thousand Words, and Then Some. Did I say?
