Yesterday I met up with [livejournal.com profile] ladymoonray for tea and goddesses )

After which we went to see Vanity Fair: of which more later.
One of the ways in which I determine whether an emailed mailshot (e.g. from bank, supermarket, organisation etc) is 'genuine' or not is by the grammar and punctuation. I might be inclined to believe that my Lloyds account details need updating -- especially, ha ha, if I actually had a Lloyds account -- but not if the email claims that my account will be 'supended'.

The converse of this, of course, is that I will sneer at any manager who insists (as one of my bosses did) that "no one cares about that sort of thing".

EDIT: has anyone seen the last three hours? ... ah well, will stop waiting for agent to ring!
Most enjoyable, but criminally under-publicised. Read more... )
