Technology stinks!
Saturday, October 2nd, 2004 12:50 pm#324 in a series.
My USB pen drive has stopped working. There's stuff on it I need. Swearing at it does not help (but I tried that anyway).
Also, my Tesco's order -- due between 10 and 12 -- is still not here. There is No Food, and I am starving.
Also, I may have had one champagne cocktail too many last night. (
incy, how are the penguins?)
Also, I've just had a penalty charge for £400 for unpaid PAYE, which my accountant said I wouldn't be liable for.
Am running around like a headless chicken, Panicking.
Have to go to Kew soon, and nothing is going right.
Waaaaaaaah!
Edited Tesco's delivery has arrived. By contorting myself and wiggling USB drive, while simultaneously copying and pasting folders, have extracted some data from Infernal Device. Now too busy to panic. But the thought is still there.
Edited again Wiggling the USB drive again produced a Blue Screen of Death, and (after more panicking) a nice little comment from Microsoft about a Serious Error caused by a new device driver ... Suspect USB drive should be gracefully retired. Suspect I should be, too.
