In the interests of scientific accuracy* I thought I'd check to see whether the National Trust lady was talking nonsense when she mentioned the Strawberry Tree at the Red House yesterday.

She wasn't.

Much more interesting was the (rather grizzled) fox, who was clearly quite accustomed to visitors.
