Internet music question
Friday, April 15th, 2005 09:40 pmis there any way of converting a BBC 'Listen Again' feed to MP3? I've missed most of Late Junction this week due to Werk. (New job great, as Werk goes, but exhausting: early nights all round.)

Date: Friday, April 15th, 2005 09:21 pm (UTC)Its okay for listening to Melvin Bragg reeducate the masses and so on... spoken word is pretty much okay-ish, but for music (as I assume you are asking about late junction) then ... ugh...

Freecorder (http://www.freecorder.com/) is free, claims to be spyware free -- it's a come-on program for their more expensive paid-for stream-rippers.
Weirdly, the top hit for 'record real player' on Google is my blog...

Date: Saturday, April 16th, 2005 07:54 am (UTC)Have installed Freecorder -- which produces silent files for some reason, will experiment later. Also the ReplayMusic add-on, which would be lovely if it worked! Have emailed them to indicate that no, I have not reached my 25-song limit ...
Yes, yes, if I had a Mac it would all work first time.

Freeware, and can be used to record whatever's going through your soundcard at the time. I'm sure there's better ways to do it, but this one works for me.
