One cannot help wondering if the reporter had any particular 'lawyers from Edinburgh' in mind. (Or whether the attribution of a 'damn fine' sense of humour to SF fans means that she is actually being Ironic.)

The article is also inaccurate re Daleks, though the only reason I know this is from having Chronicled highlights of the BBC v. Nation Estate saga.

oh, had missed your original post! (I don't get online much at the moment and don't often catch up). You make all the points that occurred to me, and more.

Would like to persuade her into attending, and show her the Horrible Truth. But I doubt her mind would take it: she doesn't seem up to Reality, intellectually speaking.
