Not sure if today was another migraine or just general ill-health. (I got to the Migraleve in time) Not sure it has stopped yet, either; have spent the evening on the futon, and have now woken up for the first time all day. (Yes, I was at work).

The BBC, I see, are eternal optimists: reporting on the defacement of a photo of David Beckham (some sort of sports personality, I believe), they write:

The words "Beckham and Meier, you loosers" were also scribbled on a wall opposite a picture of Pele.
[...]
The misspelling of 'losers' may have been a reference to Rebecca Loos, whose claims of an affair with Beckham made headlines earlier this year.

Actually, I'm afraid I have to apply Occam's Razor* and say that the misspelling is more likely due to ignorance. Where's the spell-check when you need one, huh?

I hope you're feeling better.

I agree about the misspelling, I've been thinking that since I first read it.

David Beckham (some sort of sports personality, I believe)

I fear that "personality" might be overstating the case here.

Hope you're feeling better today...

I'm with the Razor - especially as I don't believe that Meier was ever known to have had an affair with Ms Loos ... [grin]

Whilst Windows may come with a spellchecker, I don't believe that walls do...

It's going to be the real spelling one day ...

... with linguistic drift etc. ...

The BP station this afternoon had a nicely printed poster by the pumps warning people about locking up their possessions in their cars, with the final line "Lock it or Loose it" .... either they can't spell, or there are demons somewhere within the oil wells of Kuwait that that nice Mr.Saddam was trying to stop and now that he's failed to "lock" them down there, they are about to be "loosed" ... RUN ... HIDE!!!! :-)
