greetings from Narnia!
Last night I went through the back of the wardrobe. Several times, in fact. As did
ladymoonray, who undertook the task of constructing it while I did the room-design equivalent of a three-dimensional jigsaw. Luckily, we were able to rotate the shelf unit through a previously-unnoticed transdimensional portal by the door.
So now I have a canvas-coveredyurt wardrobe, a room designed for lounging around with cats (i.e. stereo, books, laptop within easy reach of bed) and a sense of Home that I never really had in my last place. Perhaps it's because I spent most of my teenage years in a very small bedroom: small rooms feel cozy and homely to me in a way that large airy rooms -- for all their other advantages -- never will.
Wardrobe? ticky.
Lion? something scary at the top of the stairs this morning
Witch? no, that's my landlady <g> and she ROCKS.
