Firefox oddities

I'm experiencing a couple of issues with Firefox 2.0.0.11 -- one is new, one ongoing -- which are not serious enough to warrant bug reports but are vexing me.

1. entering a URL in the address bar and hitting [ENTER] no longer loads the page. In fact, there doesn't seem to be a way of loading a URL from the address bar. (This has only been 'mildly vexing' so far today, as I've been doing LJ / Facebook / email: it will escalate to very vexing as soon as I want to look at anything I don't have bookmarked / toolbarred.)

2. Neither [PageDn] nor the down-arrow cursor key actually move me down a page. I have to use the bloody scrollbar. (This is ongoing, and I've become used to it: still, vexing.)

Advice?

A poem for Silent Poetry Reading Day

To celebrate the feast of Saint Brigid, or Groundhog Day: third annual Brigid in Cyperspace Poetry Reading.

I'm feeling rather nauseous and not fit to dig through boxes of old notebooks in search of own poetry. [FX: Audience heaves sigh of relief]. But here's one that still rings true: Dylan Thomas, 'The Force that Through the Green Fuse'.

The force that through the green fuse drives the flower
Drives my green age; that blasts the roots of trees
Is my destroyer.
And I am dumb to tell the crooked rose
My youth is bent by the same wintry fever.

The force that drives the water through the rocks
Drives my red blood; that dries the mouthing streams
Turns mine to wax.
And I am dumb to mouth unto my veins
How at the mountain spring the same mouth sucks.

The hand that whirls the water in the pool
Stirs the quicksand; that ropes the blowing wind
Hauls my shroud sail.
And I am dumb to tell the hanging man
How of my clay is made the hangman's lime.

The lips of time leech to the fountain head;
Love drips and gathers, but the fallen blood
Shall calm her sores.
And I am dumb to tell a weather's wind
How time has ticked a heaven round the stars.

And I am dumb to tell the lover's tomb
How at my sheet goes the same crooked worm.

LJ Explore

LJ has a new Explore thingy.
"In order to make sure each area has great content, recent public posts are analyzed electronically and then placed into the areas where they best fit, if there is indeed such an area. (Not all entries will necessarily appear in an explore area."

I did vaguely wonder if my book review would make it into the Culture puddle but that seems to be for people posting about having overslept, last night's dinner or the need to put away their laundry.

Wipeout

So far today I have:
- lounged in bed til 2:30 (I was awake from Cat Latest Breakfast Time around 9am, but bed is warm and sunny)
- had a bath
- written three book reviews
- made the bed

And I'm absolutely shattered, yawning, can't type properly, can't keep eyes open.

This is not right.
