Light!!

Last night when I left work it wasn't quite dark. And this morning it is light.

Official: the worst of the winter is over!

Yay! We should celebrate. I feel like celebrating. That's daylight outside the window!

Hooray! (Though it looks as though we still have the full-on winter weather to come)

When I awoke at 7.17 this morning (I'd slept through the alarm, which was timed for 6.30), my first thought was that I must have overslept by even more, precisely because it was so light outside. But all the clocks agreed that it was 7.17, so I ceased to panic.

Isn't it a relief? I actually got out of bed and up before 10:30 this morning! (worst SAD this January I've had for years.) Here we have SNOW, despite what the met office forecast (http://www.met-office.gov.uk/weather/europe/uk/cities/eskdalemuir.html) says - which is deeply at variance to their web cam pics (http://www.met-office.gov.uk/weather/europe/uk/webcam/eskdalemuir/).
