Hail the Great Beast, Devourer of Worlds

Today (post-this) I am not driving to werk.

Insurance company say DO NOTHING until they have assessed vehicle.

Boss says DO NOTHING until I am less achy and shaky.

Weather filthy.

[livejournal.com profile] ladymoonray and [livejournal.com profile] swisstone comforting, supportive etc.

Protestant Werk Ethic curiously silent.

Illicit Daniel Craig movie awaiting me on the laptop that is indirectly the cause of yesterday's glitch (I stayed late in the office to infest it with Windows XP, having failed to get some key things working under Linux. Shame on you sez the Universe, and pays me back for this.)

Fine, though, apart from stiff achy shoulders / neck (likely the aftermath of all the adrenaline and muscle-tension) and desire for peace and quiet.

EDIT: no, did not get number or company or model of HGV. Have suspicion it was Foreign -- if it was left-hand drive, this would explain driver's actions.

Title from here ...

Sympathies - car accidents are always traumatic, regardless of the amount of damage caused.

Wow. I just found out. Look after yourself and if there is any change in your symptoms for the worst then I trust you'll contact your GP?

Good that insurance are on the case... Logging lorries up in Scotland are incredibly dangerous and while they are not left hand drivers they might as well be -- having been forced into the ditch on a few occasions And that was in the 4 x 4!

Eek - hope you are ok! Lorries are nasty :/

Definitely a do-nothing day. Time to reconnect with the sofa.

Absolutely.

I had a minor version of this 2 years back (side-swiped by car rather than lorry, so able to keep going until safe to stop) but it took me a day and a half to get over the shock. Still got a little weepy when describing what happened to the police.

So - take lots of care of yourself, warm baths, comfort reading, cats, chocolate, alcohol, that sort of thing.

Much love
Pennski.
