Doing Better

BP has stayed down (112/78): am getting fewer dizzy spells, though still quite exhausted: am off all pills (tho' still gobbling hefty doses of evening primrose, glucosamine, chondroitin and calcium) and doctor is happy for me to stay that way.

Am feeling much, much more cheerful than I have for the last few months -- possibly just the relief, but I wonder if at least part of the depression was due to Pill (contraceptive) or pill (BP-related) side-effects. Also on low-carb diet to whittle away the layers of mopiness: low-carb diet apparently liable to cause depression, but is making me feel quite bouncy. I'm not going the whole Atkins hog (oink), for the idea of watching everything I consume for Stealth Carbs really doesn't appeal. No, this is just bread- and pasta-free, where feasible. Lots of salads and FISSSSH raw and wrrrriggling, no lovely crusty rolls or tortilla wraps or tomato and basil ravioli.

Won't be around much for the next few days and email access will be intermittent. The Kew Rest Cure (with Urban Predator) awaits! And part of it is staying offline and doing Healthy Stuff. Like sleeping a lot.

Glad to hear you're feeling more chipper. Are we still on for 21st September? (And could you put up with a house guest?)

21st Sept? Ah yes, equinox. Hadn't realised it was mid-week, so will be working -- but we can do something that evening, and you're welcome to stay if you don't mind horribly early start the next day! (Apologies for delay, haven't been online)
