Only 54 shopping days left ...

It's early to start thinking about Christmas, but ...
... the new Good Gifts catalogue is up and running.

If someone has told you that they'd rather have world peace ... or that they hate Christmas and want to get away from it all ... or that there isn't enough chocolate in the world ... your present-buying problems are solved.

I especially like A Cat For Comfort. And, if you are thinking of getting me a present, I'd like a brain cell. I can put it with the other one.

Sorry if this has sounded like a commercial, but I very much approve of the whole concept, and this year I'm going to try to get my family to give it a try, too!

(I might get my mom the braincell.)

I'm assuming that the recipient gets offered the cat support, but not an actual cat - in which case, I approve.

www.oxfamunwrapped.com has some nice new things this year too.

ETHICAL gifts, rather than shameless consumerism?

I think not.

We got quiet looks and slightly disappointed mewings from some of our rellies when we gave them Good Gifts last year.

(Whereas [livejournal.com profile] bohemiancoast and I would *so* prefer GGs to e.g. Simpsons tat. And we're really worried that there's a lot of very bad Wallace and Gromit stuff in the shops.)
